Glazed Redware Jug, PA or New England origin, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with flared foot and heavily-ribbed handle, the surface decorated with heavy daubs of manganese sponging and covered in a clear lead glaze. Several base chips. Wear to spout. Bubbling to glaze. H 8 1/4".
