Glazed Redware Jug, probably New England origin, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with tall spout, tooled foot and shoulder, and ribbed strap handle, decorated with splashed manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Handle broken and reglued. Damage and restoration to spout. Several base chips. Hairlines on underside, continuing onto base. Small spots of glaze wear to surface. Glaze wear and small chips to handle. H 8 3/4".
