Small-Sized Westerwald Stoneware Mug, 17th century, ovoid form with elaborately-tooled base and collar, decorated with molded and applied rosettes surrounded by brushed cobalt. Base chip on reverse. Small chip to collar molding. 5/8" horizontal hairline in rim. Crack extending partway around base and onto underside. Faint lines in handle, which do not extend through to opposite side. H 5 1/2".
