One-and-a-Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crock, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with squared rim and applied tab handles, decorated with brushed cobalt clovers underscored by a wavy stripe of cobalt. Large chip to one handle. Several chips to rim, including a 2 1/4" reglued chip. Thin spidering cracks on underside, connecting a Y-shaped crack at base. H 6 1/4" ; Diameter 12".
