Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITES.UTICA.N.Y," circa 1865, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed bird with crest, long tail, and heavily-shaded breast, perched on a flowering vine. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. 4" hairline from rim on front. 2 7/8" Y-shaped surface line on front. 1 3/4" recessed contact mark on reverse. Minor chip on interior of rim. H 9 3/8".
