Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITES. UTICA.," NY State origin, circa 1865, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and thick spout, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a large fan-tailed bird, perched atop a leafy branch. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. Spidering hairlines in neck of jug. A few base chips. H 15".
