Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crock with Lid, Stamped "R. C. R. / PHILA," PA origin, circa 1875, with tooled shoulder, ribbed lug handles, and cobalt swag decoration on the front and back. Additional cobalt wavy line decoration under each handle. Lid decorated with cobalt swags surrounding the knob. Crock with one rim chip, and chips to end of one handle. Lid with two chips to edge on underside, chips to flange on underside, and heavy chipping to knob. H 6" ; Diameter 8 1/2".
