Two Norton Stoneware Jugs, New England origin, circa 1875, a one-gallon jug with bright cobalt floral design, stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS.," paired with a two-gallon jug with cobalt foliate design, stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT." F.B. Norton jug with base chips, a minor spout and handle chip, a second glazed-over spout chip, light staining, and a faint X-shaped line on reverse, which occurred in the firing. E & L P Norton jug with small spout chip, and a small chip and hairline in shoulder. H 11 1/2".
