Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Double Bird Decoration, Stamped "S. HART / FULTON," New York State origin, circa 1860, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with slip-trailed cobalt design of crossed birds with dotted wing details. Professionally restored vertical crack from rim on front. A second professionally restored crack from rim on reverse, extending through end of one handle. 3 1/4" crack from rim on reverse. Staining to surface. H 11 1/2".
