Rare Redware Figure of a Standing Lion, PA origin, circa 1850-1880, hand-modeled figure of a standing lion with long tail extending across its back. Heavily-incised detail to mane, face, and end of tail. Surface decorated with daubs of manganese and covered in a lead glaze. Restoration to most of three legs. Figure may have originally included an attached base. Wear to areas of surface. H 3 1/2" ; L 4".
