Westerwald Stoneware Georgus Rex Ale Mug, German origin, 18th century, with bulbous body, tooled foot, and heavily-tooled collar, decorated with impressed rosettes and a checkerboard pattern surrounding an embossed crown and the initials "G R," for King George of England. Collar decorated with reddish-brown wash of iron slip. As-made condition with two salt drips to left of handle. H 6 1/4".
