Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cake Crock, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, with tooled shoulder and ribbed handles, decorated front and back with a brushed cobalt leaf decoration, along with wavy cobalt line decorations under each handle. Glazed-over rim chip. A few small additional chips on exterior of rim and a larger chip on interior of rim. Small handle chip. Chip to edge on underside. Some flaking to interior. H 6 1/2" ; Diameter 11 1/2".
