Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "HAXSTUN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a crested bird perched on a leaf, accented with spotted trails. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some light mottling to surface and a small in-the-firing iron ping to proper right handle. H 9 1/2".
