Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "N.A. WHITE. & CO.BINGHAMTON," NY State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with rounded spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a bird perched on a stylized branch, accented with spots. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. An approximately 3 1/2" x 3" X-shaped line to front. Minor traces of water glass staining to surface. H 13 1/2".
