One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "HAXSTUN, OTTMAN & CO. / FORT EDWARD N.Y.," circa 1875, semi-ovoid jug with tapered spout, decorated with a slip-trailed bird atop a stylized branch. Cobalt accent to maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some minor, in-the-firing flaws and minor staining. H 11 1/4".
