Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "CORTLAND," Madison Woodruff, possibly with Romanzo Smith, Cortland, NY, circa 1867-1869, flaring, pail-shaped crock with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a large design of a triple-blossomed plant. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Areas of staining. Otherwise excellent condition. H 10 1/4".
