Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "CORTLAND," Madison Woodruff, possibly with Romanzo Smith, NY State origin, circa 1867-1869, semi-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, featuring a slip-trailed daisy blossom with swag-decorated interior and spotted border, along with two smaller daisies flanking the cobalt-highlighted maker's mark. Excellent condition with staining to surface and some fry to proper left blossom. H 11 3/4".
