Six Salt-Glazed Stoneware Articles, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, some with cobalt-highlighted marks, an oyster jar stamped "J.F. HODGKINS / BAR HARBOR," a bottle stamped "I:L," a bottle stamped "T.MC.GOVERN," a bottle stamped "DEFREEST," and two bottles stamped "EDEFREEST." Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Oyster jar with a 3 3/4" inverted Y-shaped crack from rim. All others in good to excellent condition, some with small in-the-firing flaws and/or staining. One "DEFREEST" bottle with a spout chip and chip near base. "E.DEFREEST" bottle with a small glazed-over base chip. H (of oyster jar) 5 7/8".
