Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, NY State origin, 19th century, an ovoid jar with brushed floral motif, stamped "I.SEYMOUR.TROY," circa 1830; a one-gallon cylindrical jar with slip-trailed floral motif and number "1," stamped "OLEAN.NY," third quarter 19th century; and an ovoid jug with brushed floral motif, stamped "N. CLARK & CO. / LYONS," circa 1840. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Seymour jar with an approximately 4 1/2" Y-shaped line ascending base on front, a base chip, and two small chips to interior of rim. Olean jar with fry to cobalt, a large tight spider crack to jar's left side, a base chip on reverse, a second chip near base on reverse, a few small chips to interior of rim, and some staining and traces of old green paint to surface. Jug in excellent condition. H (of jug) 12".
