Two Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Bowls, Albany, NY origin, second quarter 19th century, both of ovoid, handled form, one with brushed "2" and the cobalt-highlighted maker's mark, "TYLER&DILLON / ALBANY," circa 1826-1834, the other with brushed floral motif and the cobalt-highlighted maker's mark, "M.TYLER . ALBANY / MANUFACTURER," circa 1834-1847. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Tyler & Dillon bowl with chipping around rim, wear to edges of handles, and a small, faint Y-shaped line to underside. M. Tyler bowl with a 3" Y-shaped line near base on front, a 2" line ascending base on bowl's proper left side, a thin approximately 4" line in underside extending a few inches up base on bowl's proper right side, a small chip to interior of rim, very minor chipping to exterior of rim, and some staining. Dimensions (of taller): H 8 1/4" ; Diam. 10 3/4".
