Two Pieces of Glazed Redware, Stahl Pottery, Lehigh County, PA, second quarter 20th century, an ovoid jar with sponged manganese under a clear lead glaze, incised on underside, "made in Stahls Pottery by Thomas Stahl / August / 8. / 1935"; paired with a lead-and-manganese-glazed pitcher, incised on underside, "made / In / Stahl's Pottery / By / Thomas Stahl / Sept 25 1942." Jar in excellent condition with a minor rim nick. Pitcher with a restored 3 1/4" x 1" area to surface of exterior of collar, in otherwise excellent condition. H (of jar) 7".
