Four Pieces of Stoneware, Edgefield District, SC origin, 19th century, a brown-glazed spittoon, probably W.F. Hahn, Trenton, SC; an excavated miniature flowerpot, unglazed with original piercing in underside; an unusual excavated bowl or mortar with brown glaze and coggled shoulder; and an alkaline-glazed, semi-ovoid jug. Spittoon with a few small chips, a short crack from center opening, other minor wear, and some residue to surface. Flowerpot in excellent condition. Bowl or mortar reassembled from fragmented pieces, including restoration along breaks. Jug with ground-down spout, a 2 3/4" line from spout, and a 1 3/4" line at base. H (of flowerpot) 2 3/8" ; H (of jug) 14 1/2".
