Diminutive Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Rockingham County, VA origin, circa 1850, ovoid jar with tooled midsection and semi-squared rim, covered in a heavy salt glaze. Provenance: Carole Wahler Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. Rim is slightly out-of-round with salt residue to top edge and a small piece of adhered clay to underside. H 3 3/8".
