Two-Gallon Stoneware Honey Jar, Middle TN origin, second half 19th century, ovoid jar with ribbed handle, straight and sine-wave incising to shoulder, and semi-squared collar with semi-rounded rim. Incised "2" at shoulder. Salt-glazed exterior and interior. Provenance: Carole Wahler Collection. Slump to rim. Wear around midsection. A 3" in-the-firing flake to top of rim. A 3/4" chip to top edge of rim. H 13 1/2".
