Rare Stoneware Jug, Stamped "H.B," Hiram Brown, Putnam County, TN, mid 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily tooled shoulder, rounded spout, and heavily ribbed strap handle, impressed with raised-face "H.B" maker's mark within a serrated oval border. Provenance: Carole Wahler Collection. Significant chipping to one side of handle. Minor surface wear to midsection. H 18".
