Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Apple Decoration, OH origin, circa 1870, squat-shaped jug with semi-squared spout, brush-decorated on one side with a stylized stem bearing an apple and two leaves. Freehand "2" to shoulder. Spout with an in-the-firing chip and glazed-over dent. Otherwise excellent condition. H 11 1/2".
