Rare Salt-Glazed Stoneware Inkwell, Stamped "BOSS BROTHERS / MIDDLEBURY O," OH origin, 19th century, tapering form with rounded spout, featuring the impressed maker's mark, "[VIT]REOUS BOTTLES. / Manufactured only by / BOSS-BROTHERS / MIDDLEBURY O," surrounding an impressed shield flanked by scrolls. Surface covered in a light salt glaze. Provenance: Garth's Auction, Delaware, OH. Interior of spout with two minor chips and minor wear. H 2 3/4".
