One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "WINE," attributed to Branch Green, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1820, ovoid jug with heavily tooled spout, the shoulder impressed "WINE" and decorated with a brush-decorated band. A slumped spout. Some short, faint lines to base area. In-the-firing contact marks to surface. In-the-firing gritty residue to shoulder area. H 11 1/2".
