Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1850, ovoid pitcher with footed base and flaring collar with semi-squared rim, brush-decorated with three fan-shaped flowers around the midsection. Swag decoration to collar and flanking the spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Very nice condition with some light surface wear to midsection, a salt drip and small in-the-firing surface chip (contact mark) to proper left side, and faint residue to collar. H 13 1/4".
