Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Edgefield District, SC origin, second quarter 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flaring rim, the surface covered in a gray-green alkaline glaze with large olive run to one side. A 3" hairline from rim. Minor rim wear. Some light staining. H 7 7/8".
