Two Glazed Stoneware Jugs, Upstate SC origin, late 19th or early 20th century, an ovoid jug with angular spout molding, the surface covered in a mottled, dark-olive alkaline glaze, paired with a tapering jug with brown Albany-slip-type glaze, the latter probably Parker or Whelchel pottery. Olive-glazed jug with a 1 1/2" in-the-firing chip out of midsection, a 1 1/2" adhered piece of clay to midsection, a small chip to underside at edge, and a 2 1/4" line on underside, continuing a short distance up base. Other jug in excellent condition with minor base wear. H (of taller) 16".
