Two Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jugs, Upstate SC origin, late 19th or early 20th century, both of ovoid form, one with narrow, tapering spout and semi-gloss alkaline glaze with dark-olive coloration, the other with glossy blackish alkaline glaze. Taller jug with a 7" vertical crack on reverse, the base with some shallow chipping and whitish residue. Shorter jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition with some in-the-firing residue at base. H (of taller) 11 1/4".
