Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug with Impressed Punctates, attributed to the B.F. Landrum Pottery, Horse Creek Valley, Edgefield District, SC, mid 19th century, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, the surface covered in a light-olive alkaline glaze with heavy green runs to the upper half. Shoulder incised with two circular punctates. Provenance: Acquired by the Wards in September 2004 at Hilton L. Dodgen Auction and Realty, Greenwood, SC. Two small spout chips and a minor spout nick. H 14 1/2".
