Glazed Redware Dish with Two-Color-Slip Decoration, Alamance County, NC origin, circa 1820-1850, flaring dish with rounded rim, brush-decorated with alternating splotches of manganese and cream-colored slip bordering a central stroke of cream-colored, the surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Exemplary condition with light wear to interior. This lot's condition is noteworthy, as bowls and dishes from this region are commonly found with significant wear. Diam. 8 5/8" ; H 1 5/8".
