Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Churn, attributed to Cheever Meaders, Cleveland, GA, second quarter 20th century, ovoid churn with flaring collar, the shoulder featuring applied lug and vertical-strap handles; decorated at the shoulder with brushed brown-slip banding, the surface covered in a sporadic, incomplete alkaline glaze. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Excellent condition with minor chipping to inner rim for lid. H 17 1/2".
