Green-Glazed Stoneware Lidded Jar with Grapes Motif, Meaders Family, Cheever, Arie, or Lanier Meaders, Cleveland, GA, circa 1960s, cylindrical jar with semi-rounded rim, decorated on the front and reverse with a hand-modeled and applied cluster of grapes flanked by curled stems with leaves. Black slip decoration to grapes, the entire surface coated in an unusual bluish-green glaze over whitish clay. Includes original lid with pointed finial and matching glaze scheme. Unmarked. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (including lid) 9 1/4".
