Scarce Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Pitcher with Applied Floral Decoration, Signed "AM," Arie Meaders, Cleveland, GA, circa 1960s, ovoid pitcher with tall, flaring collar, decorated with a hand-modeled and applied design of a flower flanked by leaves. Surface covered in heavy green alkaline glaze over buff clay. A darker clay used on the applied decoration gives it a grayish-olive appearance. Underside incised with Arie Meaders's initials. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 7 3/8".
