Rare Stoneware Jar with Incised Floral Decoration, Stamped "PAUL : CUSHMANS," Albany, NY origin, circa 1810, ovoid, bowl-shaped jar with rounded lug handles, featuring coggled Paul Cushman pottery maker's mark on one side and an incised floral motif with pierced blossoms and center on the reverse. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. A 3 3/8" tall x 10 1/4" wide Y-shaped crack from rim on front, including some chipping along crack. A few minor rim chips, including a small glazed-over chip to incised side. Flakes and wear to interior of rim. Base chips. In-the-firing mottling to surface. H 7" ; Diam. (at rim) 7 5/8".
