Scarce Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Figure of a Quail with Brown Slip Decoration, attributed to Arie Meaders, Cleveland, GA, circa 1956-1969, wheel-thrown and hand-modeled figure of a quail on pedestal base with applied circular eyes and carve crest, meticulously decorated throughout with spots of brown slip and covered in a gray alkaline glaze. Unmarked. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 7 1/8".
