One-Gallon Iron-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN," Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, MA, early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled foot and additional tooled accents to shoulder and spout, decorated with a dipped iron decoration to the upper and lower body, and covered in a clear salt glaze. Very nice condition with a small base chip, minor base wear, and some typical in-the-firing flaws to surface. H 12 1/4".
