Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, possibly North Shore, MA, first half 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base and flaring, tooled spout, the surface covered in a lead glaze with colorful surface, mottled in shades of olive, orange, and red with orange spotting. Very nice condition. Two small base chips. Handle with a small chip and minor wear. Some light spout wear. Two in-the-firing contact marks to midsection. Light surface wear. Some blackish residue to spout and handle. H 9 1/2".
