Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F. B. NORTON & CO / WORCESTER, MASS," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large design of a crested parrot perched in the crook of crossed leaves. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Excellent condition with some staining, a 1 1/2" in-the-firing chip to underside at edge, and a few small in-the-firing chips to underside at edge. H 11 1/2".
