Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Pitcher, Edgefield District, SC origin, circa 1820-1840, ovoid-bellied pitcher with footed base, tall flaring collar, and semi-rounded rim, the surface covered in a mottled olive alkaline glaze. Very nice condition with a 3/4" rim chip, two minor rim nicks, and a 5/8" in-the-making chip to underside. H 8 1/2".
