Rare Glazed Redware Jar with Lid, Randolph County, NC origin, probably Dicks Family, late 19th or early 20th century, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and rounded vertical handles, featuring a dipped lead glaze over the jar's handled sides with sporadic glaze application elsewhere. Includes original domed lid with knob finial and mottled olive-to-orange lead-glazed surface. Jar with areas of flaking to glaze and clay body. Light wear to rim and inner rim for lid. A 3 3/4" crack from rim. A small chip to underside near bottom edge. Exfoliation to interior. Lid with a few chips to knob and flaking. H (including lid) 11".
