Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. BURGER, JR. / ROCHESTER.N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical crock with applied lug handles and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flowering plant with swag-accented leaves and scalloped blossom surrounding the number, "3.". Brushed cobalt accent to maker's mark. Exfoliation to reverse and areas of staining to surface. H 10".
