Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, attributed to Peter Herrmann, Baltimore, MD, circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with flared collar and rounded rim, brush-decorated with split-stem clover plant. Additional stylized clover motifs to collar and spout. A long crack across underside, forming a tight spider line to base. Additional tight lines to base. A 3/4" chip to top of rim. Traces of white paint to side of pitcher. H 9".
