Very Rare Six-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Water Cooler, Stenciled "DONAGHHO CO. / PARKERSBURG.," WV origin, circa 1890, cylindrical form with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and squared bunghole, featuring a Donaghho Company maker's mark below a stenciled "6." The first Donaghho pottery maker's mark that we have ever offered. Includes wooden lid and spigot. Provenance: From a fifty-year West Virginia collection. Excellent condition. Staining to reverse and minor staining to front shoulder. A few very minor chips to bunghole. The white-colored spot at the shoulder is as-made. H 17".
