Rare One-Gallon Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware Pitcher, Stenciled "A.P. Donaghho / Parkersburg, W.Va.," circa 1880, semi-ovoid pitcher with flared collar and inwardly-angled rim, featuring A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling above a stylized band of foliate decoration. Stylized stenciled flower blossom motifs to collar. Provenance: From a fifty year West Virginia collection. Rim and spout chips. Minor in-the-firing flaws to surface. Some old silver paint over decoration on collar, giving the appearance of wear. H 10 3/4".
