Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Pruntytown, WV origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, brush-decorated with two flowers composed of circular strokes, emanating from a split stem with leaves. Freehand "2" flanked by dashes above. Freehand stripe below rim. A 1 3/4" hairline from rim on exterior, wider on top of rim and interior. Minor rim chips. Staining to surface. H 12 1/4".
