Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "M.B(?)," Crawford County, GA origin, fourth quarter 19th century, cylindrical jug with slightly-flared spout, the surface covered in a streaky olive-colored alkaline glaze. Impressed with initials of the maker on the handle. Handle broken, reattached, and colored heavily along breaks. Two small spout chips. An adhered piece of 1 1/4" in-the-firing clay at base. In-the-firing chipping around bottom edge. H 10 3/8".
